Held on the third Thursday of November each year and celebrated across the world to mark the first wines of the 2023 Beaujolais harvest. Traditionally, under French law, the wine is released at 12.01am after a race to get the bottles to market – just weeks after the wine's grapes have been harvested.
In keeping with the traditional embargo, the bottles will be available in store on Thursday 16th November from 11am! However, they may go quickly so online orders for local delivery or collection will go live from 8am on Thursday 16th November.
We'll also have Persille de Beaujolais, a mild blue from the Beaujolais region, Comte and baguettes baked by Browns of Brockley (the perfect accompaniment!) – both available in-store only from Thursday 16th to Saturday 18th November.
If you want to try some by the glass, Joyce will also be pouring Le Grappin and Séléné, along with the same cheeses and baguettes on Thursday night. Bookings are welcome, but there’ll be plenty of space left for walk ins too.
